From shy and quiet to capturing memories and making true connections

I believe magic happens outside of your comfort zone. I wasn’t always the friendly and outgoing photographer I am today. There was once a time when I avoided meeting someone new like the plague because of the anxiety it caused me.

Yet, as soon as I picked up a camera in college, I knew this is what I was meant to do. It ended up being the perfect career for me; I can create art, capture beautiful moments, and it has pushed me to get outside my comfort zone to meet new, wonderful people.

Just after college, I worked at a portrait studio and discovered that my patience, detail-oriented style, and caring demeanor made me the perfect fit to photograph families. Crying children and hiccups in the original plan were the least of my concerns and I’m quick to think of solutions so we could still take the photos we need.

When I moved to Seattle from San Fransisco, I ventured out on my own, thinking I would stick to photographing families, but as I made friends I realized many entrepreneurs don’t have the time, energy, or experience to take the right photos for their brands. Since then, I’ve pivoted to help small business owners share their stories through images that capture their incredible personalities.

I’m originally from San Francisco but moved to Seattle in 2018 to follow my husband as he pursues his career. Being from California means I love the ocean - and yes, I love long walks on the beach, but only when the sun is hiding behind the clouds.

You’ll never see me turn down a piece of chocolate (unless it’s filled with fruit!). In fact, if you bring some to our photo session, you’ll definitely win the *best client of the year* award.

Finally, my goal is to utilize photography to help others make their lives easier and to spread joy and encouragement. To do so, I incorporate the following values into my work:
